Brilliant question. I am assuming you cannot do so. I was wondering how you can edit a post as well. It seems like you might not be able to.
you can edit for sure. next to reply they have an edit tab. so this stuff stays on the blockchain. unless you maybe go back and edit the post.
Just found this out the hard way that posts can be deleted. I was testing to see if I could embed an image from instagram that I posted. Looks like I need to post it to my website first for hosting and then add it to my steemit post.
