my flower collection,

We own a small beach forest farm located at the scenic Cancabato Bay fronting Tacloban City. Ours is only a small farm .Its only 1,900 square meter I collect flowers local to my place. They are easy to take care and can adopt to the soil. If i had the chance I collect local flora knowing that some of them are now vanishing and other becoming extinct.!

I don't really know the name ...the scientific name of this flower but, I just love it because of its vibrant purple color not to mention that it is a prolific bloomer. Some town mates calls this "Kumintang" and they claims this has great medicinal value which can cure(???) many illness like can rheumatism,ulcer,cancers,healthy kidneys. Applied as a rinse after shampooing it thickens the hair ,prevents hair fall and cures all forms

Locals call it "Red Devil". It is a favorite among local food caterers,florist ,interior designers and housewives because the flower is so radiantly red not to mention that it last for six months and is locally prolific.

This is another favorite. It last long in a vase.It is not sensitive to grow. It can survive in any soil sans fertilizer and watering. It loves dry surface. Matter of fact , I planted one in my bedroom window as it cheers me up every morning i wake up.

This is a local dendrobium . I call her the "queen of our farm" because it is endemic accordingly to our place and its becoming extinct accordingly. It has a radiant red orange petals,last for months, is weather resistant and true to Philippine Orchids is it amorous that once it blooms our farm is converted into a perfumed garden.

It is my passion to collect local orchids ,trees,fruit trees,native baskets and products of local artisans like pottery.
We envision to create a fun farm where future generations can see for themselves flowers , trees and anything that caught my fancy,wildcollector as I am
