Day 2: Trekking Through the Fields

Hello my Steemit friends. I am back for day two of my Myanmar challenge. Day 2 is the start of a three day/two night trek from Kalaw to Inle Lake.

First we met our amazing guide Wellington and eight of us started our trek. The walk is quite flat and simple but the real challenge is the heat. Luckily there are many water and tea stops along the way.

As hot as it is, the scenery makes it all worth it. We walked past small villages and fields where  chillies and garlic are grown.

We also snacked on some fresh yellow raspberries along the way! Raspberries are my favorite fruit but I have never seen yellow ones before so I was excited to try them. And they were delicious!

The first night is spent in a homestay in one of the villages along the way eating delicious food, enjoying some local beer, and getting to know our fellow trekkers.
