How to read blacked out text in EPSTEIN FILES:
Appears like a lot of the black bar redacted text CAN JUST BE MARKED AND COPIED INTO ANOTHER FILE AND THEN BE READ.
EXAMPLE:

MARK IT AND COPY IT INTO ANOTHER FILE:
OR:
just download the file, open it for example in LibreOffice Draw
and just pull the black boxes away - lol

That happens if you fire everyone in government who knows HOW THINGS ARE DONE.#
Or is it a leak on the official website?

I didn't believe until I checked. Nice and handy feature in Adobe Acrobat: highlight the text and select "Read Aloud". It's like one of those kids books where you hear what sound the elephant makes! 🤣🤣
This mistake was made maybe 10 years ago. I assumed they would have ensured to use proper redaction technology after that. I guess they hired new people who made this mistake.

Definitely not a mistake, and none of the daily workers who do this stuff were fired. Definitely on purpose though might be done by pissed off employees. But the basic staff who do this stuff aren’t all replaced or something.
No, the people who do this weren’t just hired. That’s not how it works. 99% of general duty staff remains with new administrations.
Are these documents indexed on the web site? All the files I see have numerical names, unlike the one you link here.

I haven't done true effort, but they've shown some files with meaningful file names. Either they are named that way in the archive or there is a way to fetch them also by name via an alternate url. Other possibilities also exist to explain this, but it'll be interesting if any of the latest dump are also PDF files that are only redacted visually.
