What is the most spoken language?
Chinese (Mandarin) is one of the most widely spoken languages in the world. Chinese (Mandarin) is a mixture of Cantonese and Xiang, and belongs to the Chinese Tibetan language family. It is the official language of China and Taiwan, and one of the four official languages of Singapore. Chinese is becoming more prevalent in Hong Kong after Hong Kong became part of the People's Republic in 1997. There are over 1.1 billion people worldwide who can speak Chinese.
