Ever since he was born, Turkish farmer Sultan Kösen has suffered from a rare disease that has made him grow and grow.

Sultan Kösen suffers from the rare disease acromegaly, which continuously produces growth hormones in his body.

But thanks to researchers at the University of Virginia, a new treatment has been found, which means the Sultan has finally stopped growing.

The doctors otherwise thought back in 2008 that they had cured him. But after a while he still continued to grow about 1, 25 cm annually.

In the last few years, Sultan Kösen has broken several world records. He has both the world's largest feet of almost 42 cm and hands of almost 32 cm.
