A Great Day Visiting My Brother-in-law’s New Home

Hello everyone here in the Gems community! 👋

Today I want to share a wonderful memory I’d love to keep and tell you about.

We went to visit my brother-in-law and his wife the other day because they just moved into their very own house.

They invited us over to see their new place and celebrate. Before this, they used to rent a house for 3,000 pesos every month. Now that they finally have their own home, things are way easier and cheaper for them.

When we arrived, there was a brownout. No electricity at all. So we just stayed outside first, sat together, and spent the time chatting, laughing, and catching up on everything. They served us warm macaroni soup and bread for snacks.

The lights and power came back exactly at 7:30 PM. That’s when we all went inside to look around and enjoy their home properly.

It felt so cozy and nice.

For dinner, my brother-in-law cooked tofu sisig. And man, it was delicious! 🤤

It was so creamy, rich, and full of flavor.

My wife already said she wants to learn how to make it herself, and she plans to share that recipe with all of you here on Hive very soon, so watch out for that! ✨

My sister-in-law also brought out some cabbage kimchi and ginataang langka to add to our meal.

Everything tasted great together, and it felt like a thoughtful welcome into their new place.

After eating, we stayed inside, drank some cold beer, talked more, and just relaxed together.

It was just a simple but beautiful day.
