Hi steemit community,
I'm Yardena from NY, work a lot, I love my job, I am devoted to my family and pets.
I recently discovered that I'm a sci-fi fan, so I am trying to catch up on the past 50 years of books and movies that I missed.
I've made it through all 3 seasons of TOS (I won't translate that) but lost steam when I got to Captain Picard.
I read a lot but I feel adrift at the moment without a good book to read. Any good scifi recommendations?
Ok, I like going out to eat, hiking, wine, festivals, theater, symphony, tear-jerker or oddball movies. I'm trying to pretend I inherited some musical aptitude by learning the mandolin. I play a mean Cluck Ol' Hen. I have a weird clicking pinky problem but my teacher says I can work around my pinky disability. Have I overshared on the pinky problem?
I've lived in France and toured quite a bit of Europe. I spent spring break in Moscow during the soviet era. I've walked the bazaars of Istanbul. But lately, I've gone back and forth to Raleigh which is NOT fun. I need a world tour or even just a trip to Costa Rica soon!

What sort of pets have you got? i could not decide if i was a cat or a dog person so i got both and love them equally :) i am also looking to get another cat.. a Maine Coon - it sort of a cross between a cat and a dog so still keep my life in balance.
They can get quite large :)
