WHY DOES A POEM NEED A TITLE?

I sit back in my reclining chair
Thoughts rolling through my head
Why give a poem a title
When it can speak for itself

How I hate writing for likes
I write for the heart to ignite
To give it its own identity
We both made his life contently

Why does my poem need a title?
It makes my life a recital
Give it a chance to withstand
Because a poem has his life within its grip
