The summer up north is great to break away from the normal grind and jump into some ridiculous adventure. This week, I take you on a multi-stop adventure in the big city  # Toronto!  Driving in the big city stresses many people out but I lived here for a couple decades and don't even blink. The drive in was smooth and there were some low clouds almost blocking the CN Tower. Hopefully the weather clears out because I have some outdoor activities on the agenda.   The main reason for heading into town was a regatta. Racing sailboats on the lake formerly known as Lake Ontario ;) the clouds did actually go away to leave us with sunny skies and enough wind to get a couple races in on Saturday.  

If you figured I might be down for a few beers this weekend, you would be right. Sailing may have taken me away from posting on #beersaturday this week but I was representing opn the water with this Riverside IPA from Royl City Brewing that is apparently good for sailing and disc golf @davedickeyyall style.

 

The second day, not so much. Rain for the first couple hours and then zero wind when the clouds broke. Definitely not sailing weather so skip pulled the plug and I was left to other pursuits in the big city.

  Definitely some neat cars to be seen. You can almost see the Lamborgini in the parking lot behind this awesome Shelby Cobra.   With the free time, I was able to meet a friend downtown for a beer at a place I haven't been in what must be 15 years. No American booze on the bar but a fantastic IPA from [Counterpart Brewing](https://counterpartbrewing.com/) Might be the Pint of the Week next beer blog post.   Downtown was clogged with a Bluejays game (in the dome in the background of this picture,) The CNE (Canadian National Exhibition,) and a throng of geeks for Fanexpo comiccon. Made escaping town a little slower but no nerds were harmed in this drive.   My second last stop on this whirlwind trip was to one of my favourite breweries [Great Lakes Brewing](https://www.greatlakesbeer.com/) I try to stop here every trip to town as they release a 1-off or seasonal beer every week and their IPAs are the best. Plus, I needed a couple for my next stop.   My last stop was with the band at a studio for one last rehearsal for the show we have this weekend. Long time followers might be looking forward to this annual event maybe 1% as much as I am. Contender for the weekend of the year every year for the last decade. New followers can catch this tale in stageview colour some time next week as I will definitely share some of my adventure again this year.   Pretty fantastic summer so far and I won't slow down soon. If I can force myself back into more content creation, I have a whole raft of summer adventures saved up to share when things slow down.
