COCOA, my country's pride

Hello steemians,

I send you morning greetings from a peaceful country, Ghana.

Today is Saturday and I am so much enthused to be part of today's #celestialchallenge called Saturday Agriculture which is initiated by @sirknight.

Ghana is well known to be an agricultu+ral country. Our economy is built on Agriculture therefore we don't play when we talking of Agriculture most especially the farming sector. Most of the stuffs we grow for money are cassava, yams, cashew, pawpaw and many more. But the pillar of all which gives the country a lots of money and on which our economy rely on is cocoa. No wonder Ghana is the largest cocoa producing country in the world aside Ivory coast.

Because I wanted the world to know how cocoa farm is, I took it upon myself and went to a nearby village where they are well known of cultivating cocoa and the picture you see is a sample of cocoa farm.

Brief history of how cocoa came to ghana

"In 1870, Tetteh Quarshie undertook a voyage to the Spanish colony Fernando Po (now Bioko in Equatorial Guinea). About six years later, he returned to Ghana with several with several cocoa beans and made history. In 1879, Tetteh Quarshie planted the seeds at Mampong with a success." -Wikipedia

         **Uses of cocoa**

Cocoa is very useful in my country and the world at large. It use for pomade (cocoa butter), chocolate, Milo and what have you.
