A day without a communist dictator being kidnapped is a lost day
Dear Hiveans,
It has been almost two weeks since Maduro was kidnapped, and the Iranian regime is still massacring its people. How long until the US puts an end to this barbarism?
And here 2 different criticisms of Trump, one dumb and one smart:
- How can you compare a raw material that lies beneath the soil of a country with a technology that results from the creative work of people that live above the soil of a country? If China takes Taiwan, they don't seize 60% of semiconductors, they seize Taiwan's territory (with little to no resources) and some factories. Factories don't build semiconductors, people do (pretty similar to "guns don't shoot people, people do"). And the creative people and their knowhow will have left the country before a Chinese soldier enters Taiwan).
- The US did not seize 17% of oil as Venezuela still owns that oil (apart from the amount that is necessary to pay back the stolen assets of the USA), and as a lot of work is necessary to extract that oil (which Venezuela cannot do on its own).
- China cannot use this precedent to take Taiwan - as the US didn't take Venezuela. Furthermore China cannot kidnap Taiwan's murderous dictator as Taiwan doesn't have a dictator.
- This is a smart and funny way to criticize Trump.

Es ist nun fast zwei Wochen her, seit Maduro entführt wurde, und das iranische Regime massakriert weiterhin sein Volk. Wie lange wird es noch dauern, bis die USA dieser Barbarei ein Ende setzen?
Und hier zwei unterschiedliche Kritiken an Trump, eine dumm und eine klug:
- Wie kann man einen Rohstoff, der unter der Erde eines Landes liegt, mit einer Technologie vergleichen, die das Ergebnis der kreativen Arbeit von Menschen ist, die über der Erde eines Landes leben? Wenn China Taiwan einnimmt, erobert es nicht 60 % der Halbleiter, sondern Taiwans Territorium (mit wenigen bis gar keinen Ressourcen) und einige Fabriken. Fabriken stellen keine Halbleiter her, sondern Menschen (ähnlich wie „Waffen töten keine Menschen, Menschen töten Menschen“). Und die kreativen Menschen und ihr Know-how werden das Land verlassen haben, bevor ein chinesischer Soldat Taiwan betritt.
- Die USA haben nicht 17% des Öls beschlagnahmt, da Venezuela nach wie vor im Besitz dieses Öls ist (abgesehen von der Menge, die zur Rückzahlung der gestohlenen Vermögenswerte der USA erforderlich ist) und da die Förderung dieses Öls mit einem hohen Aufwand verbunden ist (den Venezuela nicht alleine bewältigen kann).
- China kann diesen Präzedenzfall nicht nutzen, um Taiwan einzunehmen – da die USA Venezuela nicht eingenommen haben. Außerdem kann China nicht den Massenmörder und Diktator Taiwans entführen, da Taiwan keinen solchen hat.
- Das ist eine clevere und witzige Art, Trump zu kritisieren.
Ich wünsche Euch ein schönes und friedliches Wochenende und dem iranischen Volk Freiheit und seinem Regime ein verdientes Ende.

I don't know where you find these cartoons :))
There is so much you and I don't agree on. That's OK. I have a sister I don't agree with either. We talk about other stuff.
As for Dilbert. I'm not into cartoons so I'm unfamiliar with his work. Just read one article about him (because of your blog). Maybe it wasn't accurate but it seems Adams had some odd views that might have turned people off. Here is a quote from that New York Times article:

So, If China invades Taiwan, a war could break out between Japan and China, and war could break out on the Korean Peninsula as well!

I don't know. I read his book "How to Fail at Almost Everything and Still Win Big" and liked it. Otherwise he had some strange opinions (regarding Jews/Israel and Blacks/Whites), but who hasn't? I'm also not into cartoons, but used some of his provocative cartoons to enrich business presentations, like that:
