Introducing myself to steemit!
Hello! My name is Adrian Thompson and I am a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), wife of @scottshots and mother of @enak. I have been a CPA since May 1997, although I have been in public accounting since January 1991. After many years of working for other CPA firms in the Los Angeles area, I moved to Truckee, California and opened my own practice for tax season 2003. I am passionate about accounting and tax and serve individuals and businesses throughout the United States. A lot of my work is done remotely. I am fortunate to work from home in beautiful Truckee.
I have been the wife to @scottshots since April 2000 and he is the one that introduced me to steemit back in February. I am finally making this introductory post since tax season 2018 part one is complete. At this point, I plan on posting about accounting and tax, but I have many other personal interests that may make for interesting future posts.
I have been the proud mother of @enak since September 2000. Since he will be heading off to college in August and I will have an empty nest, I hope to find the time to become active here on steemit.
Thank you for your time and for following me. I appreciate being part of this new and exciting platform and getting to know you other steemians.

It is so good to have you here. Normally I would say if you need any help or have any questions feel free to ask, however it looks like you know a few people here already. So I will bypass all that. But I am here to help in any way. Over at my place I have games if you are interested. They are easy and quick. Almost everyone takes less than a minute. Some are also somewhat educational. I put them out 3 times a week, Monday Wednesday and Friday. And everybody who plays my games wins every time. The rewards are not the biggest, but the games are here to help the new guys as they learn their place here.On top of that there's always good people hanging out. People who just want to help new people grow and succeed. And as far as your introduction post, you did a wonderful job. If you keep making posts of that quality you should be successful here in no time. Just remember that it is a slow process when you start. And patience is a must. I will go for now, I have more people to Welcome to our community in the "introduce yourself"feed. So I sincerely hope to see you around. I can't say I'm too excited about taxes, but then who is---well, it appears that CPAs are!!! It's great that there are people who love to do detailed, number crunching work. All of us together make for a very broad and varied group.

Hi! Welcome welcome! Seems like you have a great team behind you! Steemit has been a cool platform to learn about, I am relatively new here too. Some people will say “comment comment comment” but I have to disagree. My mantra is “content content content”! Say things that are worth saying, not just filler or fluff. There are bots for that, lol. I admire you for your hard work in taxes and accounting, I am not much of a numbers person myself. Wish I was better :) But, I look forward to any accounting tips and advice you have since I am a small business owner too! Take care!

Glad to hear you escaped the city. Urban life has definite advantages, but life out in the country, in the mountains, or on the seaside can be so much more pleasant.
Since you have 2 loved ones to guide you along on your Steemit path, I'm not sure how much I can give you. But I'll post some of my standard advice for your perusal, as follows:
Below are a few basic points of advice re posting on Steemit.
1 – Longer posts are more lucrative than short posts. If you make a post of 20–30 paragraphs, it's more likely to earn rewards.
2 – Include some photos, images or graphs, to complement the text.
3 – Make sure the text and photos are formatted properly, so that your post looks attractive and appealing.
4 – Be yourself.
5 – Be interesting and informative.
6 – Create quality content. Steemit is intended to be a platform of quality content. (You will see many insignificant posts with meager content and no quality. Most of those of posts [called “shitposts” by Steemit whale Stellabelle] will earn few rewards and soon pass into oblivion.)
7 – Get online and start curating. Read various posts, comment on those posts you find interesting, and upvote those posts. That’s the best way to attract followers.
