Eugenics!

If we were ALL ruled by a Philosopher (decentralized cryptocurrency comes to mind) then improving humanity by controlled breeding in order to increase desirable heritable characteristics is not a bad idea.

Unfortunately this has already been tried by power hungry individuals with disastrous consequences.

Is it because those who have tried to force everyone were failed individuals?
Or is the idea of breeding perfection flawed?
Who would decide what these desirable characteristics are and who would select those who embody the best?

It seems obvious to me that natural selection should work to ensure that those who live according to sustainable, established qualities would survive and procreate. And that these superior people would individually and collectively work to constantly ensure that problems are solved as they happen.

Of course this has not been true. Even if the decision of who would live to continue the species were put up to a vote the results would be inconclusive.

I vote for survival of those most compatible with permaculture standards! People who see the long lasting value in caring for the earth and people, and investing any surpluses back into caring for the earth and each other are the ones I would select to continue the species.

Tithing is the key! It changed my life to realize that I am just a steward in God's world. Everything belongs to God. Returning only 10% back to doing God's work in the world is a mind blowing idea to live by.
It leads naturally to the realization that we have an obligation to care for His earth and all people; to act as His stewards.

I know that the solution to world problems begins with me. If I live according to the ideal in the best way I can it sets an example. I am the only one I can control.

Pass on to others all the best. While it circulates around it will eventually come back to you and we will all be blessed by the abundance.

The variable ways and means of achieving this goal can be found in innumerable places. If we all individually live our lives as if this change for the good was possible, then the balance will be tipped in our favor and the cascade of possibilities will amaze us all! and hopefully come to fruition.

Hope this isn't too long for here, it's something that I liked very much. It's from a book with a link at the end.

JESUS DESCRIBES HOW HE CALMED THE STORM, MULTIPLIED THE FISHES AND RESURRECTED HIS BODY....BY BEING THE LOVE THAT HE IS (In His conversation with Glenda Green as she painted His portrait)
Jesus: "If you want the One and Only Spirit to resonate with you more affirmatively and distinctly, then truly be the love that you are.
"What you have learned to recognize, Glenda, is my love. My love feels like no one else's. Brian's (her husband) love feels like no one else's. And so it is. Each person's love feels like no one else's. So the Spirit responds and honors each one's love as a unique imprint, and that love, in turn commands the adamantine particles. It is love which defines your individuality, not Spirit. Spirit is the indivisible element, and adamantine particles are the building blocks for complex existence. They are utterly generic in nature. Only love has the capacity for singularity and individuality. Without love you would be as indistinguishable as a grain of sand on the shore.
"Glenda, would you like to know the best way to discover and to prove that you are love and that love is not an external commodity?"
Glenda: "Sure!" I rushed to reply.
Jesus: "Love your enemies."
Glenda: It wasn't the answer I had hoped for, and I was not exactly comfortable with the recommendation, although I was all ears to hear more.
Jesus: "When you are in the presence of your enemies, you know for a fact that any love you are able to feel is not because of external factors. You are not loving your adversary because of his kindness, or because you like the color of his eyes, or because you stand to profit by the encounter.
"In the presence of your enemies, you know that you are love . . . and the source of your love. That is the most important reason I told you to love your enemies--not for you to become weak or passive, not for you to be walked on, not for you to suffer, not for you to yield advantages to those who oppose you--but for you to learn that you are love. In knowing this, you gain command.
"External conditions do not have the ability to teach you who you are. However, as long as you believe that they can, you will always be seeking permission from the external world to exist. That obsession is your real enemy."
"Love commands the adamantine particles. Between you and anyone opposing you there are many shared particles. Now, of the two of you, which one is going to command them?"
Glenda: "The one who loves!"
Jesus: "That's the first point. But there's more.
"Such experiences will give you an opportunity to learn the most important thing you can ever know about yourself, as well as the subject of love. The world would have you think that love is the consummating emotion of desired and pleasurable effects. In other words, that love is created. Nothing could be further from the truth, for love is the universal instrument of cause and command.
"Last, but certainly not least, you might just find out that the person in opposition to you was not really your enemy!
"And let's not limit this to human opponents. Let's talk about a storm that is approaching. How could you turn a storm around?
Glenda: "I never thought that I could," I said, sitting there in amazement to think He would ask me such a question.
Jesus: "You would look for the motivating force of the storm, and then be the love in its presence. You can command the storm, for the adamantine particles are commanded by love. Love is the Source of everything. It is the commander and that command has been delegated to you as a child of love. This is why, in any situation, you can win by the power of love. Not by DOING LOVE. This is where you trip up. You have to BE LOVE! Love that is a burning fire at the heart of any situation. You can literally quell the storm by loving the forces that comprise it."
"Behold the beauty of the storm. Behold the beauty of the forces that make it up. Love it to its very core. Find the necessity of it until you are one with it. Several things could happen, depending upon your degree of assurance. The storm could just dissipate into thin air. Or possibly, it would turn into gentle rain. Maybe it would be redirected to another place. Or, at the very least, it would bring no harm to you. For love does not hurt love!
"If you want to get varmints out of your house, love them into another position. Many people already know this, and don't use chemicals. They just love the bugs elsewhere. I can't begin to tell you how many changes you can make in your life, by using love to command the adamantine particles."
Glenda: In all the days I spent with Jesus, I do not recall His using the word "control" as part of His instructions of life. Several times, however, He made reference to the tragic state of people locked into obsessions for control. He said,
Jesus: "Control is a ploy for achieving dominance within a dualistic situation. When people are operating within polarities, control is what they use to reinforce their preferred position. What makes it even worse is that after control is established, the polarities will be maintained in order to perpetuate the control."
Glenda: By contrast, command was a very positive topic for Him. He seemed to imply by tone and gesture that it is part of our covenant, and that exercising command is central to our dignity. The sole authority of it is love BEING love.
Jesus: "All the particles you have ever commanded with love are yours to have forever."
Glenda: That was a mind-boggling thought, far too great to take in all at once, but I composed myself enough to inquire, "Is that how you resurrected your body?"
Jesus: "Of course. It was the love that gave me total command of all the particles that had ever composed my body, and they were reconstructed by the laws of love instead of by the laws of structure. Thereby, I was a prisoner of structure no more.
Glenda: Then He mentioned the new Earth with the new bodies we will have, which will be under the conscious direction of love. He did not say when but He assured me that
Jesus: "The transformation will be brought about by knowing the truth of what love is. In this new state of existence, love will literally cause the pulse beat of your heart and the cells of your body. Love will propel the blood through your veins. Love will spark your thoughts, and all the energies around you, and all that you magnetize to yourselves."
Glenda: "Is that how you multiplied the fishes?"
Jesus: "Well, yes."
Glenda: "You really did multiply the fishes, didn't you? It wasn't just a metaphor was it?"
Jesus: "No, it wasn't a metaphor. I really did multiply the fishes. You know, all I had to do was love one fish enough."
