Quick review on TREZOR
Hi Everyone
So I finally received my TREZOR in the mail after a short wait while it was on back order and the wait was definitely worth it.
Its easy to use, stores many coins, not too expensive and the main thing secure. Its also a lot smaller than I thought making it easy to hide if needed.
I also like how it pairs with myetherwallet allowing it to store ETH and all the ERC20's.
The cord could be a little longer but luckily its a common cord.
Overall great product not sure if I should buy another TREZOR or try another brand like Ledger or something also.
Cold storage is a must have once you reach an amount of crypto you wouldn't be comfortable holding if it was cash and was in your real wallet. If you have a review of a different cold storage device that is similar post it in the comments so I can check it out.

I'm envious! I also decided to get a crypto storage device, but went for the Ledger. Still waiting. It might be another month or so.

How much did it cost and would be intersted if you do buy a ledger how the trezor compares to the ledger. I don't know how soon I'll be in the market for one, but may purchase one at the end of the year.
Strangely TREZOR still is not supporting Monero, although there is a very high demand from users and the community. Ledger Nano is supporting Monero in a few days, this is why i ordered the Ledger instead of the Trezor.
I thinkBitcoin enables certain uses that are very unique. I think it offers possibilities that no other currency allows. For example the ability to spend a coin that only occurs when two separate parties agree to spend the coin; with a third party that couldn’t run away with the coin itself.. upvoted and following you please do same. Is there any recovery option for getting our key/wallet if there is any hardware failure of trezor ?
I believe there is but I'm not 100% sure. Flood, fire, dog eats it...all possibilities. I ordered Trezor yesterday because Ledger was out of stock.

Did you compare the Trezor to the Ledger before you purchased? If so, what did you like more about the Trezor?
Nano S is now in stock at a reasonable price on Amazon. Trezor is an excellent wallet as well.

Can you extract the private key from the Trezor so you can keep it as a back-up in a separate place?
Great review, I've the Ledger Nano S. Very happy with it, I've no use a Trezor, so I can't say which one is better. The Nano S was great to access the Bitcoin Cash and the new Bitcoin Segweit addresses. Down side, waiting for the wallet to arrive.

Thanks for the post, gowd. I do admit i find it a bit shallow, not a lot of product analysis :) I mean, have you compared it with other products, decided on its pros and cons? I just received one myself and I was curious to see if it's a solid one. Thanks anyway, cheers
I'm new on this. I ordered one but i haven't tested any results yet.
I did look into it at the time, both are very similar the thing that made me choose the trezor was that I was holding a decent amount of cryptocurrency and the trezor would arrive 1 month earlier and I just wanted to get it of the exchange asap.
Edit: and I just remembered it was on sale when I purchased too
yes, you make a hand written back up key when you first set up your trezor in case of theft or damage to your trezor.
yes, you hand write your private key when setting up your trezor for exactly that failure or theft.

The only reason I went the trezor was it had a shorter back order time :)

If you do order one I suggest using a trusted affiliate link so someone you like gets a few bucks commish. I used the one My Ether Wallet's page. It's been a big help to the crypto world. I don't like amazon, they don't take BTC.
Haha yeah the wait is killer. Glad you are liking the Ledger eventually I will have both.
Get it going and get your crypto in a safe place. Make sure you update the firmware before you set it up if you have had it lying around for a while.
Im hoping to get a Ledger nano and compare it with. Basically I did some research and come to the conclusion they were both the same almost in coins able to be stored, they both were around the same price but the trazor had in my opinion better security features with actual buttons on the device and a better screen but that is all opinion and not fact so I left it out of the review and also the wait time was shorter on the trezor so that was what mostly made me choose trezor.
Get on it put your Crypto in a safe place

I've been eyeing the TREZOR for a while but I never really had enough BTC to justify the expense. I may be getting one later though, I'm making enough money on steemit that I'm not really comfortable storing it an electrum wallet longterm. Thanks for the review.

Finally got mine-took 7 days. Only thing I'd add is make sure the packaging is tight as a drum and double sealed with the 3d stickers. If not, it may have been opened or not 100% real. Haven't heard of any counterfeits but I can see how it might be possible - especially considering these wallets probably average $2000.00 on the lower balances.
Ah finally the wait is over for you haha. Enjoy. Definitely double check the packaging you are 100% right even if you buy it from trezor. It is also a good idea to update the firm ware before setting up your wallet.
