I've heard there isn't a single photo of earth. If that is true, then that, along with the high level of vitriol aimed at the FE community from the establishment interests me. I remain open minded. If the earth is flat then I suppose it proves a higher order, a creator of our world and maybe there lies the significance which could explain the obsession and the vitriol.

That was absolutely hilarious and totally awesome! It shows you have done your homework and that division need not be part of this debate if we trust that people haven't just gone insane but are simply asking questions most haven't asked in a century.

I followed, I dig what you guys have done here and I would love to see more of it! The acting was really convincing as well good job, all of ya!

I couldn't blame anyone for ridiculing this topic outright, everybody does at first. The question is what happens then? Can we suspend our pride and explore something with an open mind? Most people can't, especially those who pride themselves on their high education or intelligence, at least that's what I have experienced with this topic and the people I have talked to about this. As so often: Everybody knows the answer already. Or so they think.

I have stopped claiming to know what Earth is after my inquiry into both cosmologies.

I also have to completely agree with your sentiment, it is outright enticing to become dogmatic and aggressive when starting to glimpse the errors in the globe model, i.e. its discrepancies to observable actuality and the nefarious degree to which we have been indoctrinated into accepting it without question. But that doesn't automatically make the new model correct, nor make all the globers completely wrong in everything they claim. It merely furthers the divide and the inquirer's isolation.

The globe model does have features that are observable yet not addressed by the azimuthal map, but most flat earther's disregard that possibility completely and call globers idiots instead. It's not that simple. There is a grand confusion here between assumptions and provable facts so that one cosmology is used haphazardly in order to explain the problems in the other. They are like two different languages and finding their issues requires one to become somewhat fluent.

When I shook off the initial bamboozlement about the glaring holes in the globe model that I had never suspected before, I vowed to find the catch in the popular FE model as well. I always do when I research something.

Took me about 2 years to find the catch with the involuntary "assistance" by globers trying to convince me back to the globe where they actually gave me the missing puzzle piece I had overlooked. They actually made me stumble upon one of the three major flaws in the azimuthal FE model, which still remains "THE" flat earth model everyone seems so stoked and or pissed about. But it's provably not correct, regardless of the flat horizon. Just because the horizon is flat does not make the Earth a circle with the north pole in the middle.

It's just that our conception of physicality and 'rationality' requires that, it may be completely different, and would actually have to be as dictated by the models' discrepancies.

In this, both models are actually totally in agreement and hence merely two sides of the same (disinforming) coin: Both a circle and a sphere manage to "close" east to west in 2 dimensions, and would be the ideal candidates to cover up the larger paradigm underneath.

The globe model is far superior in its seeming plausibility (because we all grew up with it), both because the math is exceptionally fine tuned to conjure up a semi-plausible cosmology of its own that has become the basis of our civilization's worldview, and because the omnipresent azimuthal fe map does not solve certain discrepancies in a convincing manner which is ample reason for people like astronomers and physicists to not take flat earthers seriously at all (despite them having some great points).

So the camps remain divided, each thinking the other camp is insane or dogmatic. When it looks to me like both camps have drunken the cool-aid and are too proud to double check their own beliefs and their model's issues.

As unpopular as it may be: I say both models are wrong, and people who are genuinely openminded and intellectually honest will find the major catches eventually. Sad to say most of the community have not addressed these issues as the dogmatism and attachment to the newly presented model has already grown very large, hence all the fighting, as you said.

Seems like the hegelian dialectic's at work once more, I suspect it was a controlled release in order to keep the high ground over the narrative which would explain the sudden reemergence of the topic. It almost felt rushed, the way it came up in recent years out of nowhere as a full package of worldview.

Not wanting to convince anyone here, just letting people who are curious know that there are catches to be found in both models if one is willing to look thoroughly and study both cosmologies side by side. In my opinion, we likely do not have a model of Earth that resembles actuality by any stretch, though there are candidates that have tried to solve and/or reconcile the discrepancies in both models. However these candidates don't become relevant until one knows the issues with both models and what is required to make them conform to reality (not the other way around).

Sorry, this totally does not answer your question but I have stopped proving things to people "beyond a reasonable doubt" long ago.

Everyone has their own threshold about what is reasonable and there is no hurry :) Especially for people like yourself who seem like you have a good heart and are genuinely interested to find things out instead of furthering the divide, something so rarely seen in the conspiracy observer communities... high five brother!

I have yet to do the sea level experiment but it is coming up here in the next weeks when the weather is clear. Would love to document some curvature to finally lay this whole thing to rest, I really would, but I have a strong suspicion there will be none measurable. We will see!

If Earth is flat its flatness can withstand another decade of humanity's delusion and brainwashing without problems ;)

Not sure we will ever find out what this Earth is or how its mechanics are working in actuality (not sure human beings are ever meant to know), but we can definitely shred apart the false models we have been given by finding the catches in both of them.

I should really do my series already, as you can tell this really wants out and i have been hesitant because I believe most people are not ready for the question. Yet.
