Drowning in waves of dark despair,
Reaching out, grasping emptiness;
Sanity crippled almost without repair.

Life spent feeling less than whole,
Nothing solid to keep my balance;
But now a reason for self control.

No surrender so inviting,
Calling to the deepest parts of me;
Thoughts of change so enticing.

Longing for a perpetual grace,
Having an angel as companion;
Of true love a perfect trace.

Loneliness parking out of light,
Whispering lucky song in my head;
I see new reason left to fight.

Giving all for mutual gain,
Loving for a valid reason;
Time to give my heart again.
