Hello!
At first it is good to introduce yourself. I am a Catholic priest. [Perhaps the first one on steemit ;). If not, let me know] Currently I live in Rome, where I study patristic. I am from Poland, one of the most Catholic countries in Europe. On weekends I help in the parish by the sea, one hundred kilometers south of Rome. It's a small town, but need help because there is only one senior priest in the parish. That's why I help him with Masses and confession.

A few years ago my older brother, who is a computer scientist, showed me what bitcoin and blockchain are. But only recently have I understood how great potential is contained in this technology. I am convinced that the direction of development of this ecosystem will often coincide with the social doctrine of the Church. One of the basic principles of this doctrine is solidarity, participation and subsidiarity. Rules that in centralized institutions sometimes do not work, so blochchain seems to be worth the attention. This year I discovered steemit, which seems like an interesting adventure.

At present my main occupation is studying the Fathers of the Church, learning languages (Latin, Greek, Italian, French, German - you can go crazy from this!). In addition, in my spare time I write on Polish wikipedia, I improve wikidata. I love watching movies and series. My favorite director is the Russian Andrey Tarkovsky - his films are masterpieces.
Today I finished my exams, so I can take some time to get to know steemit better.

O kurcze! Księdza się tutaj nie spodziewałem, tylko proszę nie zrozum mnie źle, po prostu jestem miło zaskoczony :)
Mógłbyś się jakoś zweryfikować, wrzucając jakieś zdjęcie, poświadczające, że faktycznie mamy do czynienia z księdzem?
Twój angielski jest bardzo dobry. Swoją drogą, mój na pewno jest daleki od doskonałości, ale tutaj na Steemit nie musisz się tym martwić. Większość osób które tutaj piszą pochodzą z krajów nieanglojęzycznych. Cała społeczność jest jednak niezwykle dla siebie przyjazna i wszyscy się cieszą, gdy ludzie wkładają dodatkowy wysiłek po to, by ludzie z innych krajów także mogli treść przeczytać.

łał, naprawdę mamy księdza na Steemit :)
Już wyjaśniam dlaczego tak się cieszę... to, że takie rozwiązania jak te są popularne wśród informatyków, to mnie nie dziwi.. natomiast fakt, że coraz więcej grup społecznych tutaj widzimy, pokazuje, że albo świadomość społeczeństwa na temat technologii rośnie, albo sama technologia staje się bardziej użytkowa i możliwa do użytkowania nie tylko przez specjalistów :)
Powiedziałbym, że z natury należę do tych co chodzą swoimi drogami i przecieram ścieżki. Ale naprawdę rozwiązania polegające na rozproszonej sieci są zgodne z nauką Kościoła. W istocie sam Kościół jest taką rozproszoną siecią ;)

I don't know what other Steemians want to see, but I'd be fascinated to hear how you're managing to learn so many languages all at once. Is it simply intensive vocab & grammar study? Are you doing some immersion excursions to different countries? Do you have one-on-one tutoring with native speakers? Could be a post unto itself! =D

Fajnie, że dołączyłeś. Bardzo mnie ciekawi jakie treści będziesz zamieszczał.
Jeżeli ograniczyć Kościół tylko do instytucji, to można znaleźć bardzo wiele błędów i małości. Ale Kościół to jest nieskończenie większa rzeczywistość, która łączy ludzi od ponad 2000 lat więzami, które nieraz są mocniejsze niż śmierć. W ten sposób nawet Steemit nie jest w stanie budować wspólnoty ;)
