Belarus to produce crickets chips

At the beginning of 2019, residents and guests of Belarus will be able to try a very unusual novelty – cricket chips. The production of snacks will be engaged in Minsk startup " Onto-biotechnology "and the company"Onega". The appearance of the product will be no different from traditional chips, but thanks to the addition of cricket flour in the snack there will be protein and chitin, useful for digestion and promotes weight loss. According to the approved recipe, a trial batch of chips has already been prepared. It is reported that snacks will be produced in three versions – with salt, onion and sour cream and meat taste. In addition to the Belarusian market, the product will be supplied to Russia and Germany. In the future, experts also intend to produce bars with crickets.
